Adam Robinson

Adam is a senior lawyer and the principal of the practice. He was admitted to practice in 1993 and has a breadth of experience in most aspects of commercial law.

Commercial law expertise including:

  • Small business management
  • Business structuring
  • Wills and Testamentary Trusts and Estate Planning
  • Business ownership and succession planning

Adam has a keen interest in tax and revenue law issues which is reflected in his practice focus and advice to his small business clients.

Interests

Adam has served on a number of boards and committees and uses his experience in business and social spheres to improve the quality of his legal advice.

Outside of the office Adam loves competitive cycling, living his Christian faith, and spending time with his family. Adam has also been known to do well as a cyclist in teams at the Noosa and Mooloolaba triathlons and has represented Australia at the Masters World Championships in South Africa in 2012 and in Perth in 2016.

Sue Hobbs

Wills and Estates lawyer

Sue is an experienced Wills and Estates lawyer, who employs a wholistic approach to estate planning. Sue is also experienced in transitional arrangements to Retirement Villages and Residential Care.

Sue graduated from the Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Laws and was admitted as a solicitor in 1993. A true local,  Sue returned to her childhood home of The Gap in 1994 after working in General Legal Practice in Rockhampton. After raising her daughters, she relished the opportunity to join the Hollingworth and Spencer family in 2004.

Sue’s involvement in the local community was recognised in 2014 when she was the recipient of a Queensland Inspiring Women Speaker’s Award  and as the winner of the Volunteer of the Year award  in Campbell Newman’s 2014 Can Do Awards.

Sue enjoys spending her free time surrounding herself with family and friends.

Brooke Hodgson

Solicitor

Brooke graduated from the Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Justice in mid 2020. Brooke is a fully qualified Solicitor having been admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland in February 2021.

Brooke completed her practical legal training in a general practice firm and is currently gaining experience in both our Commercial and Wills and Estates practices.

Outside of the office Brooke coaches a number of junior netball teams, and enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Liz Fox

Conveyancing Manager

Liz joined Hollingworth and Spencer in 2015 and is our senior conveyancer based at our Samford office.  Liz has been working in the legal industry for 30 years. She has conducted hundreds of residential conveyancing sales and purchases for individuals, corporations and developers.

Liz has been registered as a Commissioner for Declaration since 1997. Outside of the office Liz enjoys spending time with her family.

Krystle Henderson

paralegal

Krystle is an experienced paralegal having worked in the Wills and Estates team for over 13 years.  She has also been registered as Commissioner of Declarations since 2010. Krystle spends her downtime surrounded by family and friends, and enjoys camping and social outings.

Ruth Logan

bookkeeper

Ruth has been our bookkeeper for over 6 years. She has also been a registered Commissioner of Declarations since 2010. In her spare time, Ruth enjoys scrapbooking, card making and spending time with her family.

Kristen Robinson

Reception

Kristen is a skilful administration assistant and has worked in the admin team for over 3 years.  Outside of the office Kristen is currently studying a dual bachelor’s degree in Business Management / Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management. She also enjoys exploring the outdoors for a bit of fitness and spending time with her family and friends.
